Project Overview
The Port of Port Arthur Flyover Bridge project will construct a new bridge over the Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Railyard and future US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) flood protection system, connecting Lakeshore Dr. within the Port to W. Rev. Dr. Ransom Howard St. (also called 7th St.). This will provide a second access point for the Port and decrease points of conflict between trucks and trains. The construction of this project will allow the Port to maintain operations during storm events requiring closure of the flood protection system and enhance movement of freight.
