NOTICE is hereby given that the Port of Port Arthur Navigation District of Jefferson County, Texas (“Port”) will consider approving a Tax Abatement Agreement for Emerald Bio fuels (“Emerald”) at its Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at 9:00 a.m., at the Port Commission office, 221 Houston Avenue, Port Arthur, Texas.
Golden Triangle Properties LLC and GT Logistics, LLC are the Owners of separate tracts of the property, and Emerald is the Applicant for the Tax Abatement Agreement. Emerald proposes to lease from Golden Triangle Properties LLC land located within the Emerald Biofuels Reinvestment Zone in Port Arthur, Texas, for development and construction of a new Coker and Sulfur Unit and related improvements, The estimated cost of the proposed project is in excess of $330 million. The project upon its completion will maintain a level of not less than 40 new fullĀtime jobs consisting of both permanent direct employee jobs and permanent contractor jobs.
