NOTICE is hereby given that the Port of Port Arthur Navigation District of Jefferson County, Texas (“Port”) will consider approving a Tax Abatement Agreement for Cormorant Clean Energy LLC (“Cormorant”), at its Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners on Wednesday. December 20, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., at the Port Commission office, 221 Houston Avenue, Port Arthur, Texas.
Cormorant possesses interests in taxable real property located within the Cormorant Reinvestment Zone and is the Applicant for the Tax Abatement Agreement Cormorant proposes to construct a blue ammonia production facility and related improvements within the Cormorant Reinvestment Zone. The estimated cost of the proposed Project is in excess of $1.16 billion. The project upon its completion will maintain a level of not less than 50 new full-time jobs consisting of permanent direct employee jobs.
